Viktor Yushchenko received confirmation from the government that as for evening of Feb 26 2008 the National Corporated Enterprise Naftohaz Ukrainy transferred 2 milliard 200 million UAH to the companies supplying gas to Ukraine.

According to the Naftohaz, Ukrainian side has full paid its debt.

From his side the President of Ukraine informed that on Tuesday evening he had a phone conversation with the President of Russian Federation Volodymyr Putin. In the course of the talk he informed about executing the agreements on gas issues reached at high-level during the visit of Ukrainian president to Moscow.

“As for moment of our conversation the main problem with payments for 2007 was solved”, - Viktor Yushchenko said.
