Poland is ready to support the idea of France and Germany to form the Mediterranean Union in the EU in exchange for opening a prospect of the EU membership for Ukraine.
That’s what prime-minister of Poland Donald Tusk stated on Thursday in his lobby interview during the EU summit in Brussels, according to “Deutshe Welle”.
He stated that he expects support for Polish proposition concerning Ukraine.
Whereas the chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel considers the prospect of Ukraine’s entering the EU to be early. To her mind, Ukraine is not stable for that.
According to the information agency "Deutshe presse-agentur", Ms. Merkel and Mr. Tusk are planning to discuss Ukrainian issue.
