Today Seim of the Republic of Latvia adopted the declaration recognizing the Famishment of 1932-33 in Ukraine to be conscious genocide of Stalin’s regime towards Ukrainian nation.

According to the press-service of the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine, the mentioned document states that Latvia joined the appraisal of the Famishment expressed by Estonia, the USA, Canada, Australia, Lithuania, Georgia, Poland and other countries which condemn the crime of Stalin’s regime in 1932-33, and expressed sympathy with Ukraine concerning the tragic events.
