«Opposition proposed to approve a decree and adopt a respective law in order to solve a problem of high communal tariffs. Surely, the Party of Regions, the ruling coalition and the government did not like the OU faction decree. The decree made the cabinet responsible for the situation in communal service. Such constructive proposals were not supported by the coalition». That’s what the Our Ukraine faction leader Vyacheslav Kyrylenko told the Razom site, commenting on Raisa Bohatyryova’s appeals for solving communal service problems.

»Moreover, the ruling coalition had blocked the podium for a week, fulfilling the government’s order» – Mr. Kyrylenko noted.

He is convinced that Bohatyryova’s statement is a reaction at the unity of democratic opposition in the parliament, local councils and out of the parliament.

»We did not care about our ratings. We were trying to solve the problem the government ignored. There was a 300-400% hike in tariffs three months ago. Real wages and pensions were reduced since Jan. 1, 2007. But the government started to react in the end of winter. Therefore we were obliged to do their work.» – Vyacheslav Kyrylenko summed up.

As we know, the Party of Regions leader in the parliament R. Bohatyryova has asked all political forces to consolidate around solving of communal service issues.
