People’s deputy Yuri Klyuchkovskyi thinks that the presidential elections in the parliament contradict the Constitution and restrict the rights of citizens.
That’s what Yuri Klyuchkovskyi said at a today’s press conference.
»Statements of coalition representatives on the possibility to hold presidential elections in the parliament are caused by their desire to make the united opposition quarrel between each other. «If somebody thinks that we will quarrel because of that, it is utopia» – the MP said.
Mr. Klyuchkovskyi emphasized that the united opposition had to oppose to such primitive modes of violation of the Constitution. «Let them try to put a spoke in a wheel. Let them try to beat somebody’s hands. People have rebuffed once and will do it again.» – he said.
He added that the problem was how firm opposition ties would be. Mr. Klyuchkovskyi added that opposition representatives must not have repeated their mistakes.
The MP thinks that the opposition is finally united and poses a serious threat for the «anti-crisis» coalition. Therefore coalition members do their best to make the opposition members quarrel.
Mr. Klyuchkovskyi said it would not be like that. «What is worse is the fact that the core of the coalition activity is to ignore the Constitution of Ukraine» – he noted.
According to him, the presidential elections in the parliament restrict the rights of Ukrainian citizens, what is forbidden by the Constitution.
Mr. Klyuchkovskyi stressed it was not the first example when they did not act under the Constitution and interpreted its text in their own way. The MP thinks that such thoughts are
»very dangerous».
