«Under the Constitution, the president has enough power that underlines that he is a key person. There is one president in Ukraine. Viktor Yushchenko was elected for this high post when millions of citizens expressed their will» – the head of party Council Viktor Baloha said in his interview to «Den» newspaper.

»If it is possible to make an equation from MPs in the parliament, such variant is impossible at the level of the whole society» – Mr. Baloha added.

He emphasized that the law «About Cabinet of Ministry of Ukraine» considerably constricted presidential power and contradicted the Constitution. «Therefore the head of the state appealed to the Constitutional Court as a guarantor of the Constitution. And the CC has to explain which articles of the cabinet law contradict constitutional power of the president» – Viktor Baloha stressed.
