The presidential representative in the parliament Roman Zvarych informed that if the Verkhovna Rada did not examine Viktor Korol and Volodymyr Ohryzko candidacies, the president might use his constitutional power and repeatedly submit them. He stressed that it was under the president’s competence.
»The president leads a foreign policy of the country. As regards national security, it is his direct competence» – Mr. Zvarych stressed.
»As it is a direct competence of the president, it is absolutely inappropriate to talk about some kind of political agreement» – he thinks.
He is optimistic about the appointment of Viktor Korol. «His candidacy has been supported at the VR committee’s meeting. And Mr. Ohryzko is a professional diplomat with a great experience. It is very hard to find some grounds to reject his candidacy» – Roman Zvarych noted.
