The Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko will sign the law that will ban privatization of Ukrainian gas transport system. That’s what the deputy chief of staff Viktor Bondar said at a today’s press briefing.
»I think that as soon as it is time, [the law] will be signed and promulgated» – Mr. Bondar predicts.
As we know, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine banned privatization or transfer of assets of the Ukrainian gas transport system.
The Ukrainian gas transport system is composed of 36 000 kilometers of gas pipeline, including 14 000 kilometers of tubes of big diameter. (from 1020 mm to 1420 mm).
