People’s deputies of Ukraine Henadiy Udovenko and Oleh Bilous have submitted the bill «About bases of domestic and foreign policy of Ukraine» to the Verkhovna Rada.

»Bases of domestic and foreign policy is in fact a strategy of political, economic, social, humanitarian and foreign policy of our state. As we still lack the national strategy, which is fixed at legislative level. There are long-term programmes in some spheres» – Mr. Udovenko emphasized.

»In our bill we make an emphasis on the development of civil society, the formation of a socially oriented market economy and the rise in competitiveness of domestic producers» – he told.

Mr. Udovenko does not want to predict the prospects of this law’s approval. «Usually, everything we suggest is boycotted by the parliamentary majority. Though this time we propose a fundamental document. We have not had such a national programme yet. « – He said.

Let us remind that a group of MPs headed by Vasyl Tsushko had prepared another variant of the law about the bases of domestic and foreign policy. Last Friday the Verkhovna Rada speaker Oleksandr Moroz announced that the law about the bases of domestic and foreign policy had to correspond with the National Unity Pact.
