«Brutal attitude of marshrutka drivers towards war veterans make me worry. Doors are closed before people. Drivers talks to them in a rude manner.» That’s what people’s deputy said from the podium on the Government Day in the parliament.
The MP noted that he received a great number of letters with similar problems, most of them from Zaporizhya oblast.
»I appealed to the Transport Ministry. The answer was that it was a problem of the whole Ukraine. – Mr. Udovenko said. – There are 23 million Ukrainian citizens who have a right not to pay fares for public transport. We have adopted lots of laws without necessary financial support.»
»We must get to know whether 3 000 war veterans who are still alive are provided by privileges. Our main task is to study this question and give privileges to those who really need them» – the MP said.
