«The fact that the President Mr. Yushchenko visits Germany is of a great importance even if some important agreements will not be signed during this visit» – people’s deputy, member of the Our Ukraine faction told the Razom site.
»Germany is one of the most influential members of the EU. Germany is presiding the EU now. Therefore we need a direct dialogue at the level of state leaders. Nowadays Ukraine undergoes difficulties because of the political system’s change. We have to co-ordinate co-operation with European states at the highest level» – he emphasized.
Mr. Udovenko added that Germany’s position depended on this country’s ties with Russia. «Ukraine is often dependent on these ties. It is hard to say whether these states’ attitude will change after our leadership’s visit» – the MP stressed.
