«The question whom the Ukrainian gas transport system belongs to is extremely important. Declarations of Putin and Yanukovych prove that some kind of agreements take place behind the president’s back. And he is a guarantor of energy security» – MP Oleksiy Ivchenko said in his interview to the Razom site.
»Declarations about Ukraine’s right to use Russian gas wells are a trap – the MP said. – Everybody understands that the structures that possess wells in Russia act within the Russian legislation. The laws of the neighbouring country allow exporting gas paying an indicative price, that is to say not less than 230 dollars per 1000 cubic meters.»
Mr. Ivchenko emphasized that the Gazprom Company was a monopolist at Russian gas export and would not let anybody interfere in its sphere of activity.
»Yanukovych-Putin slogan «We give you our wells, and you give us your has transport system» is a mousetrap for Ukrainians. It is a betrayal of national interests» – the MP declared.
Mr. Ivchenko emphasized that Russia had not signed the Charter on energy security yet.
The Our Ukraine faction is blocking the parliamentary tribune demanding Mr. Yanukovych to report on the Ukrainian gas transport system.
