«Borys Tarasyuk’s resignation is a completion of political reprisals against a professional Foreign Minister» – the Our Ukraine faction leader Vyacheslav Kyrylenko is sure. That’s what he said yesterday in the air of Inter TV channel. «Borys Ivanovych has submitted for resignation because he takes care of the interests of the foreign ministry. It had recently been under direct pressure from the government» – Mr. Kyrylenko said.

»The minister has been under pressure of the State Treasury and the Finance Ministry concerning the ministry’s financing, foreign policy institutions and foreign policy activity of Ukraine on the whole. This responsibility was Borys Ivanovych’s motivation» – Mr. Kyrylenko thinks.

»I appreciate the two years he held the office of the Foreign Minister» – Vyacheslav Kyrylenko added.

He noted that the case brought on Mr.Tarasyuk’s suit against the Verkhovna Rada’s decision to sack him was still at the court.

»We can’t imagine the Cabinet of Ministry’s Minister preventing the Foreign Minister from entering the government’s meeting in any other European country. It is unacceptable» – Mr. Kyrylenko emphasized.

»Extraordinary power of the Ukrainian President is to submit another candidate for the post of the Foreign Minister – the Our Ukraine faction leader said. – His name will be disclosed in the nearest time. I am sure this person will ensure a succession of foreign policy of the state. The coalition will take into account that under the Constitution the Ukrainian President directs foreign policy of the country.»
