Dear compatriots!

On January 22, 1919 the event many generations of Ukrainians had expected took place. The Act of Unity of Ukrainian People’s Republic(UNR )and Western Ukrainian People’s Republic(ZUNR) had been announced.

This symbolic event has fixed the formation of Ukrainian political nation and has summed up a long way of unity of Eastern and Western Ukraine. A new stage of struggle for state independence started and the idea of unity has acquired a paramount importance.

The Our Ukraine party stresses that idea of sobornist is especially up-to-date for Ukraine. Political agreements and betrayals in the parliament pose a threat for independence. Under such circumstances there is a threat to lose a chance for a democratic and decent future. We believe that this sacred data of Ukrainian history must remind many Ukrainian politicians that the most important value of Ukrainian people is independence of our state
