The Our Ukraine faction leader Vyacheslav Kyrylenko thinks that the BYuT’s decision to override the presidential veto on the law on the Cabinet of Ministry is wrong. «The Our Ukraine bloc protested against couloirs agreements between the coalition and the BYuT and left the hall. Such agreements hardly favor development of democracy. They lead to the liquidation of most achievements 2004» – he emphasized.

»But I don’t think that usurpation of power by the government of Mr. Yanukovych is not the price to pay for the law on opposition…In fact is a stab in the back of democracy. It will take time to recover from it». – Mr. Kyrylenko said.

»I hope that the cataclysms that happened on the last day of the Verkhovna Rada’s meeting will not be systematic. In other case it will lead to a catastrophe for all democratic forces and not only for a pro-presidential Our Ukraine party. The task for the next session is a search of mechanisms of interaction between factions of a democratic parliamentary opposition» – he noted.

He added that the Our Ukraine had offered the BYuT its support of the law on opposition and the law on instruction before the vote for the law on the cabinet. «But there was no reaction as the BYuT already had agreements with the «anti-crisis» coalition» – Mr. Kyrylenko said.
