«One of numerous anticonstitutional clauses of the newly-adopted law on the Cabinet of Ministry restrains local self-government». That’s what the deputy head of Chernihiv oblast council, the head of the oblast party organization of the Our Ukraine Oleh Obushnyi said.

»According to the law, the cabinet has a right to issue the Acts that concern local self-government and territorial communities directly. The most absurd moment that monopolizes the power of the government at local level is the fact that the deputy heads of regional state administrations are appointed in concordance with the government» – he noted. – «Is it possible that the government knows better whom to appoint as the deputy head of Semenivska or Sosnytska regional state administration? Why does the government interfere into the procedure of appointment at this very level?» Oleh Obushnyi is convinced that from now on all the appointments will depend on politics.

»At that, having adopted the law on the cabinet, the MPs cared about material things for members of the government, that is to say about their flat, cars, salary, pensions. Unfortunately, the law on the cabinet does not meet national interests and is a result of political agreement between the so-called anti-crisis coalition and the BYuT. I expect the Ukrainian President to appeal to the Constitutional court on the unconstitutional nature of this law» – he noted
